CH MACH2 Sausage Stables Lewis SS RA XF JE
has now earned his second MACH title! He is only the second dachshund ever to
have earn more that one MACH, and he is the only breed champion
with 2 MACH's.
Congratulations Lewis and Jan!!!
A MACH is the highest title that an AKC agility dog and handler can earn. Lewis is one of 6 Dachshunds in the nation to earn this title.
A MACH requires the accumulation of 750 points (determined by speed) and 20 "Double Qs".
A Double Q is two qualifying runs in different events (Standard and Jumpers) on the same day.
To put it in perspective, of the several thousand MACH dogs in the country, only 6 of them are Dachshunds; of those six, only two are breed champions; and of those two, only one is a Smooth Standard. Now Lewis has a MACH2 title, so he's the only champion Smooth Standard Dachshund with two MACH's!
